What's that Liam? No aftershow?

Last night me and Oskar attended Oasis gig at globen, in the company of our friends at Bonnier Amigo. Good fun. It's like watching Kalle Anka on new years eve, seeing Oasis nowadays. Same as every year but you wouldn't miss it for the world. Afterwards we got into an official Oasis aftershow party wich the Gallaghers didn't attend. We should have realised. There were only people like us around and everyone looked a little fooled. Haha.

Tonight we rock Debban Slussen. Come on down! / Anton a

Rockbjörnen.

Last Thursday it was time for the annual "Rockbjörnen" party. We didn't have any nominations since we hadn't released anything. But we decided to show up and represent the colours of Molotov Jive anyway. A very good decision I must say. If there was somewhere you where supposed to be in Sweden this evening it was at this venue. For five hours we enjoyed our self to the max. It was extremely intensive. New people in every direktion and the mood was on top. I think we all got houndrans of great storys eatch to tell our grand children when we grow old. But for now I give you the picture of the evening. It's the famous singer songwriter Staffan Hellstrand. As you can se by the way he is holding his arm around Anders he and Anders bacame good friends this evening. Mekhong Whiskey!

Take cover!

Today we're on the cover of Svenska Dagbladet.

press day in sthlm

we've been doing press today. meaning we were interviewed and photographed four times by different newspapers. it's pretty fun on the first one but the problem is that the journalists seem to be having a hard time coming up with questions that haven't already been answered a million times. but I guess it's up to us to find something interesting to say. they always ask:

*what makes the new record different from the old one?
*where are you guys five years from now?
*what does the name molotov jive mean?
*is it true that oskar stole dave grohls shoes?

the expressen journo seemed to planning to base the whole article around oskars accidental theft of celebrity footwear. let's hope that doesn't happend.

hope we get a good thing out of Svenska Dagbladet tomorrow.

and hope the reviews are as good as the once we've read so far.

Doing press back home...

We are in our beloved Karlstad for two days doing press for the new album release. A lot of people want a piece of yours truly and the three stooges. Since we don't really live here anymore we've booked a studio for us to do press in. The studio is coozy, cool and full of old regalia from swedish punks past. Thåström even has his poetry here.

We've done TV 4, airs tonight or tomorrow night, Radio, Press. And Tonight we're doing SVT Eftersnack from Karlstad. Playing live and talking about how much we like our new record. We're also trying toi rehearse in a different set up. Anders on electric organ, me on 12string guitar. Watch it if you can. Think it's gonna be online somewhere. Smell ya later // Anton

Nyhetsmorgon

The alarm clock went off at 03.00 on the Monday morning. After a cold quick shower and a cup of strong coffee I jumped in a waiting cab witch took me to the Tv4 studio. Anders was already there and after a while Johan, Anton and our trumpet man for the morning, Andreas showed up. We rigged up our gear and did a soundcheck. Then it was time to do what we so often do when we roll, wait. The Breakfast buffé at Nyhetsmorgon are one of a kind so we made time pass by eating an insane amount of breakfast. Anton did an interview at 06.20 and then it was back to waiting again. 08.50 it was finaly time to hit the stage. We kranked up our amplifiers to the max and made sure that the whole building really woked up by playing "Paint The City black". After drinking a cup or two of doubble espressos we played "Monday Thuesday". I think it went really well. If you wanna see it go here:

Nyhetsmorgon TV4 Monday morning

We're gonna rise pretty darn early on monday. We're playing the morning show on TV4. Two songs and an interview I think is what has been mentioned. From what we heard the guy who books the acts is crazy about us and wanted us there sooner. That's all fine and dandy. But what is this about our soundcheck time being around 4 am? Do they not realise rockstars sleep until noon? It is worse than cathching the early Ryanair flight to Berlin. I sure hope the breakfast buffeé is what it was 2 years ago.

Oh, and we're prepearing a special surprise musicwise. See you on the telly!

/ Anton
